Technology Consulting and Software Development
We build the systems behind ambitious companies.
Kebar Consulting partners with founders and technology leaders to design, engineer, and ship the software their business actually depends on, from the very first decision to the team that keeps it running.
Six disciplines, one accountable team.
We don't hand you off between departments. The people who plan the work are the same people who build it, from the very first conversation through the team that keeps it running.
Technology Strategy and Advisory
Plans and clear-eyed advice for the decisions founders and technology leaders can't afford to get wrong, including whether to build something at all. We come in before anything is set in stone, so the advice reflects your actual constraints: budget, timeline, and team, not a generic best practice.
Product and Software Engineering
Full development of web and mobile products, from a first working version to systems running at real scale. We write the actual code ourselves rather than only advising. The thinking and the building come from the same team, so nothing gets lost between them.
Cloud and Systems Architecture
Infrastructure, migrations, and platform design built for the demand and the breakdowns you'll actually face, not a diagram that only looks good on a whiteboard. We plan for the busy day you haven't had yet.
Design and Interface Systems
Interfaces and reusable components designed for the people who use the product every day, not just the people watching a demo. Every design library we hand over comes with plain instructions your own team needs to build on it without us.
Data and Applied Intelligence
Data work and applied intelligence features built for one specific outcome: knowing which customers might leave, answering common questions automatically, useful tools for your own team, rather than added simply because the technology exists.
Ongoing Technical Partnership
Ongoing engineering and advisory support for teams who need senior judgment close at hand, not just problems handled one at a time. This is the arrangement most clients choose after an initial project, once trust is established.
Not sure which of these fits your situation?
Most projects start with a short, honest conversation, not a sales pitch.
The kind of work we take on.
These are representative project patterns, illustrative of the problems we solve, not a specific client list or set of named case studies.
Rebuilding a legacy system without stopping the business
Moving a decade-old core system onto modern foundations in phases, with no tolerance for downtime and a team that had never worked with the old code before.
Building an engineering team from a single technical hire
A technical plan, a hiring plan, and the first real release for a funded startup with no engineering team yet.
Rebuilding infrastructure ahead of a funding-driven growth curve
Redesigning how a platform handles data and requests so it could serve far more customers without breaking down far more often.
Connecting disconnected internal systems
Building the technical connections that let finance, operations, and product teams share information reliably instead of living in separate spreadsheets.
Stabilizing a project handed off from a previous vendor
Reviewing an unfamiliar project in detail, fixing what was fragile, and getting a stalled launch back on a real timeline.
Shipping one clear, well-defined intelligence feature
A well-defined intelligence feature, automatically answering common questions, or making an internal library easy to search, judged against a real, agreed measure of success rather than shipped for its own sake.
A process built to reduce risk before it reduces your runway.
Kebar Consulting is a technology consulting and software development firm. We keep projects small on purpose. The same senior people who plan a project are the ones who build it.
Understand the real problem
We look closely at what you already have, talk to your team, and find where the risk and opportunity actually sit before proposing anything.
Design before we build
A concrete, specific plan, reviewed with you before a single piece of it gets built.
Ship in accountable increments
Working software at every milestone, with visibility into progress rather than a black box until launch.
Stay accountable after launch
Handover, documentation, or an ongoing partnership. Your call, decided before we start, not after.
- Senior engineers on the work, not just in the sales call.
- One accountable team across strategy, design, and build, no vendor handoffs.
- Direct access to the people building your product, every week.
- Project-based or ongoing arrangements, matched to what you actually need.
- Search visibility, speed, and accessibility built in from the start, not billed as an extra.
- Honest technical opinions, including when the answer is "don't build this yet."
A first conversation costs you nothing but 30 minutes.
Start a projectBefore you reach out.
Q. What kinds of companies does Kebar Consulting work with?+
Venture-backed startups building their first real engineering team, and mid-market or enterprise teams modernizing systems that have outgrown how they were originally built. If you need senior technical judgment, not just more people, we're a fit.
Q. Do you offer one-time projects, or ongoing support?+
Both. A defined project suits a clear result with a clear endpoint. An ongoing arrangement suits continuous product work where priorities shift as you learn. We'll recommend the approach that fits before you commit to anything.
Q. What does a typical project start with?+
A focused first phase: we look at what you already have, talk to your team, and find where the real risk and opportunity sit before recommending a plan.
Q. Will people be able to find it, and will it run quickly?+
Yes. We build so that search engines can read the site properly, pages load quickly, and everything works well for people using screen readers or other assistive tools, as standard practice, not an extra step. If you want a broader plan for getting found online, we can arrange that separately.
Q. Can you take over a project or team already in progress?+
Yes. We regularly step into systems we didn't build, reviewing how everything fits together, fixing what's fragile, and either joining the existing team or replacing an outside partner who isn't delivering.
Q. How do you handle information submitted through the contact form?+
Submissions go directly to our team over a secure, encrypted connection and are used only to respond to your inquiry. We don't sell or share contact details, and the form itself is built with standard safeguards against common online attacks.
Tell us what you're building.
Fill in the form and we'll reply within one business day, or email us directly if you'd rather skip it.
